DTB Awarded for compliance in registration for Data Collector and Data Processor

DTB-Tanzania has been recognized for compliance in Data collection & Data Processing by newly established Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Applying strong data protection measures and safeguards not only protects individuals' or customers' personal data, but also our bank’s data. Therefore, avoiding considerable scenarios, which may damage the reputation of the bank or customers.

DTB-Tanzania is the first bank to be certified by the newly established Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) under the Ministry for Information, Communication and Information Technology, that was officially inaugurated by Her Excellency, The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan on April 3 rd , 2024.

In a significant event held at Julius Nyerere International Convection Centre (JNICC) in Dar Es Salaam, The President inaugurated the Personal Data Protection Commission (DPC) as well as recognizing the entities that have fully complied with registration for Data collection & Data processing as prescribed by the law.
